As a cub, Simba is curious, adventurous, cocky, and all too ready to become king. As an adolescent, he has long since forgotten his old life, and once again acts as over-confident and adventurous as he did as a cub. As a father and king, Simba is very over-protective to his daughter, Kiara.
Nala:
Nala is Simba's best friend as a cub who later became his girlfriend, and his assumed queen. Nala is a tawny pelted lioness with hunter green eyes as a cub, teal eyes as an adult in The Lion King, and light, rich-blue eyes in the sequel. Without the overlay however, her eyes are green. Her frame is fit, a must for that of a huntress, and sleek, as said by her official synopsis. She has light-colored eyeshades as both a cub and adult. Her paws are colorless, her tail tuft is rich, mily brown and her thighs and forelegs have color. Overall, she closely resembles her mother, Sarafina. As a cub Nala is a bit sassy, spunky and just as curious, mischevious and ready to get in trouble as Simba is. She is firm about her ideas and beliefs, refusing to let Simba take credit for her idea to get rid of Zazu. This carries into her adulthood, where Nala has turned into a sharp-tongued, fierce, fearless, fiery adult lioness. She fights Simba into submission and isn't afraid to re-inforce to Simba that he is the rightful king no matter how he denies it or tell Scar that they (the lionesses) don't believe he's the rightful king despite being a lower rank at the time.

Mufasa:
Mufasa is the first named king of the Pridelands. He was the father of Simba, and the older brother of Scar. Mufasa was a wise, noble, and very powerful king. Sarabi was his wife.
Sarabi:
Sarabi is the leader of the hunting party throughout Mufasa and Scar's reign, and the queen alongside Mufasa until Scar's tyrannical takeover as well as Simba's mother. She is shown to be cool, calm, and collective in most situations, and is also shown as a proud and loving mother. Her nose is brown and her chin is prominent, but the rest of her features are graceful and feminine, especially her orange eyes and ears, which are rimmed with brown, which is also something she passes onto her son, Simba. Her personality is firm, and she refuses to bend to anyone, not even Scar.
Zazu:
Zazu is the current majordomo to Simba in The Lion King. Zazu's feathers a light blue, tipped with a darker, navy-blue and a beak in varying shades of orange. His eyebrows are black, thick and scruffy. As majordomo to King Mufasa, his proper, dignified, nervous, and easily-rattled personality is the polar opposite in temperament of Simba and Nala. He tends to panic during emergencies, such as the wildebeest stampede. As a youngster, Zazu was incompetent, talkative nuisance, but soon learns to distinguish between what's real news and what's not, though he's not above some juicy gossip. Despite his size, he's rather snobby and looks down on lowlifes, and is not afraid to use his dry, biting wit, and is a very loyal friend and servant to the royal family.
Rafiki:
Rafiki is a mandrill hybrid who serves as an adviser to the lion king. Since Ahadi ruled the Pridelands, Rafiki was an advisor to Mufasa and even Scar; he currently serves Simba. Rafiki is an old, and hunched over primate. Along with those features, he has wide eyes and a large smile. Though he somewhat resembles a mandrill, Rafiki has a long tail and lacks a distinctive crested head, and is referred to usually as a baboon.
Timon & Pumbaa:
Timon: Timon is a meerkat, and Pumbaa's best friend. Timon is a pale brown meerkat, with dark brown stripes, a cream chest, and a red patch of hair on his head. For most of the time, Timon is comical, and is wisecracking. However, Timon seems to be selfish, but he shows a lot of heart as shown in the final battle of The Lion King where after he and Pumbaa distract the hyenas so Simba could encounter Scar at Pride Rock. Timon is not as smart as he thinks he is as he takes Pumbaa's ideas as if it is his own.
Pumbaa: Pumbaa is a warthog who is best friends with Timon and Simba. Pumbaa is a reddish-colored warthog with black hair running down his back and large tusks. Pumbaa is a very likeable character as he's truly loyal to Simba and very protective of Timon. He loves to consume grubs, and longs for friends who won't abandon him. In The Lion King 1½, it is revealed he feels awkward when in crowds, which creates a problem he has with his stomach that causes him to flatuate. However, he displays child-like naivety which is sometimes confused for stupidity, but actually, he comes up with some intelligent plans and insightful ideas, which Timon rapidly claims as his own.
Scar:
Scar was the younger brother of Mufasa and the uncle of Simba. Scar is a sleek, elegant lion who is severely lacking in physical prowess, something he comments on himself and according to the synopsis. Scar is highly intelligent and charismatic as he is able to rally the hyenas to his cause and gain fanatical loyalty from Zira and her pride of lionesses. Scar is a psychopathic individual who is mainly concerned with gaining power and will kill anyone he sees as competition. Despite his ruthless nature, he is a somewhat cowardly individual, more likely to run away from violence than confront it.
